New Delhi, October 25, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s programme in Uttar Pradesh and Odisha on Sunday brings together manufacturing, aviation and financial-sector technology infrastructure. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Modi is scheduled to inaugurate a new garment manufacturing facility in Varanasi, attend an Indian Air Force aerial display on the Ganga riverfront, and later open the Reserve Bank of India’s data centre and Cybersecurity Training Institute in Bhubaneswar.

Garment manufacturing facility in Varanasi

The facility, established by Arvind Limited, is intended to strengthen India’s textile and apparel manufacturing ecosystem. The PMO says the initiative is predominantly women-led and is expected to create employment opportunities while connecting locally manufactured products with global customers.

‘Wings over Ganges’ aerial display

At Namo Ghat, the programme is scheduled to commemorate the Indian Air Force’s 94th anniversary under the theme “Wings over Ganges”. The announced lineup includes Tejas, Rafale, Su-30MKI and the Prachand light combat helicopter, along with transport aircraft and display teams from the IAF. Aircraft from the Indian Navy and Army are also expected to participate.

RBI data centre and cybersecurity institute

In Bhubaneswar, Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the RBI’s new data centre and cybersecurity training institute. The official release says the infrastructure will support mission-critical payment and settlement systems and strengthen the Bank’s computing resilience. The institute is intended to build expertise in cybersecurity and enterprise technology, including AI and quantum computing.

Why it matters: The announcements span employment-intensive manufacturing and the secure digital infrastructure underpinning financial services. The economic impact will depend on operational capacity, hiring and how the facilities are used over time.
