October 23, 2026. Kuwait-flagged oil product tanker M/T Al Dasma, carrying 21 Indian seafarers, was struck by an unidentified projectile near the Strait of Hormuz on October 21. India’s shipping minister Sarbananda Sonowal said all Indian crew members and the rest of the crew were safe.

Reports citing the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said the incident occurred about 11 nautical miles west of Bukha, Oman. A fire was later extinguished and the vessel was reported at anchor. No responsible party has been established in the cited reporting.
