Mumbai, October 28, 2026: Jio Platforms made its stock-market debut on the National Stock Exchange and the BSE at a premium of about 21.36% to its initial public offering price. Shares were reported at around ₹1,358–₹1,359 against the issue price of ₹1,119, making the listing one of the most closely watched market events of the year.

Market value tops ₹12.5 lakh crore

During the early trading session, the company’s market capitalisation reached approximately ₹12.57 lakh crore, according to live market reporting by The Times of India. Prices and market value can move through the session and should be read with the timestamp of each quote.

India’s largest public issue

The offering raised roughly ₹30,200 crore and attracted total subscriptions of 22.19 times the shares on offer. The qualified institutional buyer portion was subscribed 70.55 times, while the retail portion was subscribed 2.72 times, according to the reported final subscription data.

Investors will watch growth beyond telecom

Jio Platforms operates telecom and digital services and has more than 530 million customers. Company leadership has highlighted opportunities in cloud services, artificial intelligence, enterprise technology and next-generation connectivity. Its valuation will also be assessed against competition, capital expenditure, regulation and the company’s ability to convert new services into sustained earnings.

Strong listing is not a guarantee of future returns

The premium at listing reflects the market price at the time of trading, not a guarantee of future performance. Investors should consider the company’s disclosures, risk factors and their own financial circumstances rather than relying on listing-day movement alone.
