New Delhi, October 28, 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened a new Experience Centre at its Integrated Complex in Dwarka, giving students an interactive way to explore the evolution of education, emerging technologies and future career opportunities. Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi inaugurated the facility on October 27.
12 zones and 21 exhibits
The centre spans 6,000 square feet and features 21 exhibits across 12 zones. Visitors can use RFID-enabled smart cards to interact with displays, participate in activities and access personalised takeaways and game-based leaderboards, according to the Ministry of Education.
From Nalanda to digital classrooms
The experience begins with “Shiksha Ki Kahani”, a film tracing the development of learning in India, from the gurukul system and historic centres such as Nalanda to modern schools and digital classrooms. A separate section presents archival records and photographs documenting CBSE’s history, including material dating to 1935. Another exhibit explores Earth’s geological history through an interactive timeline.
Students can explore future careers
Career-focused installations include Career Explorer and Future of Professions, while other exhibits use holographic interactions with figures such as B. R. Ambedkar and A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. The centre also includes interactive experiences on science, the environment and examination confidence.
Focus on experiential learning
At the inauguration, Joshi said school education should move beyond rote learning and excessive focus on examination scores, encouraging curiosity, practical understanding and creativity. The centre’s approach aligns with the National Education Policy 2020’s emphasis on experiential and holistic learning.
