Published: November 3, 2026 | Patna: Tuesday, November 3, is the final day to submit online applications for the Bihar Public Service Commission’s (BPSC) School Teacher Recruitment Examination, TRE 4.0. The recruitment drive covers 33,320 school-teacher vacancies across primary, middle, secondary and senior-secondary levels in Bihar.

The commission extended the online application deadline to November 3 under Advertisement No. 15/2026. The fee-payment deadline was November 2, one day before the final form-submission date. Candidates should not assume the payment window remains open; anyone whose fee transaction is incomplete should check the live BPSC portal and the latest commission notice immediately.

Key dates candidates should know

  • Last date for online application: November 3, 2026.
  • Last date for application-fee payment: November 2, 2026.
  • Examination date: Not announced in the latest reports reviewed.
  • Application portal: BPSC’s online application system.

The deadline extension was reported by The Indian Express and Hindustan Times, both citing the commission’s notice. The Times of India also reported the revised schedule on November 2.

33,320 vacancies after an additional 932 posts

The revised vacancy count is 33,320. The earlier figure of 32,388 increased after 932 additional vacancies were added: 493 for secondary-school teachers and 439 for higher-secondary teachers. The recruitment spans teaching positions for Classes 1–5, 6–8, 9–10 and 11–12.

Applicants should consult Advertisement No. 15/2026 and the relevant corrigenda for the precise post-wise vacancy distribution, subject requirements, reservation provisions and eligibility conditions. The commission has not announced an examination date in the sources reviewed for this report.

How to check and submit the application

  1. Open the official BPSC website and follow its online-application link to the candidate portal.
  2. Sign in using the registration credentials used for TRE 4.0.
  3. Review personal details, qualifications, selected post/category and uploaded documents.
  4. Check the payment status. The published fee deadline was November 2; do not treat November 3 as an extension of the fee window.
  5. Where the portal permits final submission, complete it by November 3 and save the confirmation/application copy.

These are general navigation steps, not a substitute for the official instructions. Candidates should follow the exact workflow displayed in their account and contact BPSC through its published channels if the portal shows a payment or submission issue.

Official links and sources

Editorial note: This is a deadline reminder based on the published BPSC schedule and multiple reports quoting the commission’s notice. The BPSC portal and any subsequent official notice take precedence if a candidate sees a different status in their account.
