The National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) has launched two indices, NDEX and FINNDEX, as it looks to broaden its presence beyond agricultural commodity markets.
NDEX tracks 20 large and liquid stocks, while FINNDEX covers 15 financial companies. The move adds equity-linked benchmarks to the exchange’s product offering.
What the indices track
- NDEX: A basket of 20 large and liquid stocks.
- FINNDEX: A basket focused on 15 financial companies.
Market participants will watch how the indices are adopted and whether additional products follow.
