LEAP India’s stock market debut on Friday delivered a relatively subdued performance as shares opened at Rs 166 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, representing a 4.40% gain over the issue price. The listing on the National Stock Exchange was similarly modest at Rs 165.90.

The tepid listing fell short of grey market expectations, which had anticipated stronger initial gains. Market participants attributed the restrained opening to broader market conditions and sector-specific headwinds affecting investor sentiment.

Despite the modest premium, the company successfully completed its initial public offering, joining the ranks of listed entities on Indian bourses. The performance highlights the cautious mood prevailing in the primary market as investors weigh global economic uncertainties against domestic growth opportunities.
